Hi,

I am using Oracle 10g Database and Oracle 10g Appplicaiton server for reports generation. there is Report with the large number of pages and when its formatting report with the 47000 Thousand of pages then Its throwing the following error.

Terminated with error: REP--1870639098: Error during file I/O operation. REP-0105: Unable to lock file 'C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\000807756' in exclusive mode.scafa 6 C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\000807756 REP-0002: Unable to retrieve a string from the Report Builder message file. REP--1870639098:

So after searching on the net and at metalink also I am not getting any result from there.

So is there any solution for this error.

This seems to be a very large report. (Is someone really going to review 50.000 pages?!?) Did you, perhaps, run out of available disk space?

Hi,

Yes I know no one can review this large number of report. but how can i restrict user to not run this report (ledger Report).

Regarding the Memory issue, can you please tell me how its going out of disk space. because when this reports is running at that time CPU usage is about 10-15%. and all the Operating system Drives (c,d) have more then 10GB of free space. Total RAM on server is 4GB and during the Report the commit charge is about 2.2GB/10GB.

So this is little bit confusing for me how I m getting out of space?

Thanks

I'm not saying that you DID run out of space; I have just asked whether this is the case. It appears not.

So, what now? No idea, sorry.
