After changing the name of my computer the intelligent agent on my local running oracle 8i won`t start again so I cannot connect to the database. I change the hostname in the tnsnames.ora and in the listener.ora. where else do i have to change the name?

1. Start the Console.
de-register all the events and jobs.
2. Stop the Intelligent Agent.
$ORACLE_HOME/network/agent directory, remove all files with the 'q' extension:
3. do clean reboot of system. restart the agent
4 Verify the SQL*Net configuration (tnsnames.ora,listener.ora etc etc).
5. Ping the node and tnsping the databases. connect from sqlplus...to the databases ( OMS etc).
5. drop and rediscover the node (in EM console)
