Hi,
we are using Oracle 9i Database. Sometimes, client site tnsnames.ora and sqlnet.ora are updated automatically. We quess that 9i server did that. If that is true, when will server be trigered to do this? And how to stop this triger

This is less likely. Never heard of such thing.

Are you sure you don't have any kind of remote file management upgrade (Novell) or CFS in place. Some UNIX SA setup CFS for crutial OS files.

It's not on the Oracle plate to do that.
