Hi,
We're getting re-linking erros while installing oracle 8.0.6 on solaris 2.5.1 (up-to-date), because of missing libgen, libclntsh libraries. Could someone tell me what these libraries are and why they are missing in the /usr/lib or oracle/lib. What should we do to obtain them?

Nothing wrong with the libraries. They are on the CD-ROM as always. You have to check your shell evn. There should be PATH variable and should have /usr/ccs/bin.

To check that run these commands:

$ which make
/usr/ccs/bin/make
$ which cc
/usr/ucb/cc
$ which ld
/usr/ucb/ld
