Hi everybody,

is it possible to change my "Computer name" after the Oracle installation?

If it works, what should I consider?

THANKS!
MIKE

It's not a problem at all.

Change the listener.ora file with the new hostname for HOST= parameter.

Also it's a good idea to check the file system for any files still having the old hostname. On UNIX that's so easy:

$ find / -exec grep "old-hostname-here" {} ; -print 2>/dev/null

Hope that helps,
