I did used substr to cut the characters to load, and i did use the trim to cut the spaces out.
is ther any other way to spicify in sql loader to cut these spaces or characters
is so please help me.. this the error message i get in my sql loader log file

Record 1: Rejected - Error on table xyz, column abcd.
Field in data file exceeds maximum length
