Hi,
We have a problem with Oracle Client 8.1.7.

We have our Bespoke Application running on a Client Desktop.
This Software connects to a CMS Server(Documentum e-Content Server 4.2.6).
The CMS connects to a Oracle RDBMS server through a Oracle Client.

Our Application needs to store Kanji Characters (Character Sets Kanji 1, Kanji 2 and Kanji 3 in Microsoft IME 2000 Pad).

Our Application stores all Kanji Characters successfully with the following System Configurations:
Client desktop : Windows 2000 professional SP2, Default locale Japanese
CMS Server: WINDOWS 2000 Server SP2, Default locale Japanese, running with Oracle Client 9.0.2.
RDBMS Server : Oracle 8.1.7

Our Application fails to store Kanji 3 Characters with the following System Configurations:
Client desktop : Windows 2000 professional SP2, Default locale Japanese
CMS Server: WINDOWS 2000 Server SP2, Default locale Japanese, running with Oracle Client 8.1.7.
RDBMS Server : Oracle 8.1.7

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards
satish

Whats your NLS_LANG setting on the client on each of these configs ? Maybe you need to change it ..
